| Abstract: | Předkládaná práce zkoumá vliv zaměstnanosti studenta na jeho štěstí. Cílem je ověřit hypotézu této práce, která tvrdí, že zaměstnanost studenta má pozitivní vliv na jeho štěstí. Tato práce se také snaží zjistit, zda Easterlinův paradox platí i u vysokoškolských studentů. Práce obě tyto hypotézy testuje na mezinárodní úrovni. Autor získává data pro verifikaci pomocí mezinárodního dotazníkového šetření obsahující respondenty z 28 různých zemí světa a 4 různých kontinentů. Pomocí regresní datové analýzy jsou zkoumány vlivy jednotlivých proměnných. Na 5% hladině významnosti je potvrzena autorem stanovená hypotéza, že zaměstnaní studenti jsou v průměru šťastnější než nezaměstnaní. Dále je na 10% hladině významnosti potvrzen Easterlinův paradox, vysokoškolští studenti mající příjem mezi 20 000 Kč a 25 000 Kč jsou v průměru šťastnější než studenti mající jiný příjem. V neposlední řadě je na 5% hladině významnosti zjištěn vliv partnerského vztahu na individuální štěstí, respondenti, kteří byli ve vztahu dosahovali průměrně vyšší úrovně štěstí. |

| Abstract: | The presented bachelor thesis examines the effect of student employment on his happiness. The aim is to verify hypothesis of this thesis, which states that employment has positive effect on students’ happiness. This thesis also aims to verify Easterlin paradox amongst university students and verify both hypotheses on international scale. The author obtains data for verification using an international questionnaire survey containing respondents from 28 different countries and 4 different continents. Impact of individual variable is determined using regression data analysis. Hypothesis that employed students are on average happier than unemployed is confirmed at the 5 % significance level. Easterlin paradox is confirmed at the 10 % significance level, university students with an income between 20 000 CZK and 25 000 CZK were on average happier than students with other incomes. Lasty but not leasty, at 5% level of significance impact of a partner relationship on individual happiness is found significant. Respondents who were in a relationship were on average happier. |
