Comparison of the labour market in the Ústí nad Labem Region with the Czech Republic regarding education and age structure between 2000 and 2021

| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza vývoje trhu práce v Ústeckém kraji v porovnání s Českou republikou v období let 2000 až 2021 pohledem vzdělanostní a věkové struktury. V teoretické části jsou formou literární rešerše zpracovány současné poznatky o trhu práce, lidském kapitálu a vzdělávací politice. Praktická část práce nabízí pomocí analýzy a komparace dat pohled na vývoj vybraných ukazatelů trhu práce Ústeckého kraje a České republiky. Provedená analýza ukazuje odlišný vývoj v demografických a ekonomických ukazatelích na obou sledovaných územích. V Ústeckém kraji v porovnání s Českou republikou je prokazatelně větší podíl pracovních pozic určených pro osoby s nízkou úrovní kvalifikace, stejně tak je tomu i v zastoupení uchazečů na Úřadu práce a nezaměstnaných osob. Podíl této skupiny navíc v čase narůstá, což je v kontrastu s údaji za ČR, kde je v této skupině pozorován pokles. I přes výrazný nárůst počtu volných pracovních míst na území Ústeckého kraje je pozorován jejich nedostačující počet v posledních letech. Na území ČR by k obsazení všech volných pracovních míst došlo pouze za předpokladu využití všech dostupných uchazečů bez ohledu na jejich vzdělání a možnosti mobility. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis aims to analyse the development of the labour market concerning educational and age structure in the Ústí nad Labem region by comparing it with the labour market of the Czech Republic from 2000 to 2021. The theoretical part of this thesis presents a literature search on current knowledge regarding the labour market, human capital, and educational policy. Using data analysis and comparison, the practical part of the thesis presents an overview of the development of selected labour market indicators in the Ústí nad Labem Region and the Czech Republic. The research indicates different demographic and economic indicators results between both studied regions. More job positions are available for people with a lower level of qualification in the Ústí nad Labem Region than in the Czech Republic. Additionally, the representation of applicants to the Labour Office and unemployed persons is also higher in this region. Furthermore, the proportion of this group is rising over time, in contrast to the trend in the Czech Republic, where a decrease is seen. Despite the substantial rise in available positions in recent years, there are inadequate job openings in the region of Ústí nad Labem. All available candidates must be considered to fill vacancies in the Czech Republic, irrespective of their education and mobility. |
