| Abstract: | This diploma thesis delves into the determinants underpinning variations in economic development among distinct regions within India. Through an examination of a comprehensive dataset spanning multiple years, we scrutinize the factors contributing to the divergent economic trajectories witnessed across these regions. Our analysis encompasses crucial determinants such as inflation, unemployment, the contribution of the agricultural sector to GDP, expenditures on education as a proportion of GDP, gross domestic product (GDP) per region, foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow as a percentage of GDP, and the geographical characteristic of sea access. Employing robust econometric methodologies, we discern the relative significance of each determinant in shaping the economic disparities among regions. The study's outcomes illuminate the intricate interplay among economic, educational, geographic, and investment factors that mold disparate development within India, offering pertinent insights for policymakers striving to nurture more equitable economic growth across the nation's heterogeneous landscapes. |

| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá faktory, které jsou základem rozdílů v hospodářském rozvoji jednotlivých regionů v Indii. Prostřednictvím zkoumání rozsáhlého souboru údajů za několik let zkoumáme faktory, které přispívají k rozdílným ekonomickým trajektoriím v těchto regionech. Naše analýza zahrnuje klíčové determinanty, jako je inflace, nezaměstnanost, podíl zemědělského sektoru na HDP, výdaje na vzdělání v poměru k HDP, hrubý domácí produkt (HDP) na region, příliv přímých zahraničních investic (PZI) v poměru k HDP a geografická charakteristika přístupu k moři. Pomocí robustních ekonometrických metodik zjišťujeme relativní význam jednotlivých determinantů při utváření ekonomických rozdílů mezi regiony. Výsledky studie osvětlují složitou souhru ekonomických, vzdělanostních, geografických a investičních faktorů, které formují rozdílný rozvoj v Indii, a nabízejí relevantní poznatky pro tvůrce politik, kteří usilují o spravedlivější hospodářský růst v různorodých oblastech země. |
