| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na postavení žen na trhu práce v rámci České republiky a Evropské Unie. Důraz je kladen na popis rozdílného postavení žen a mužů na současném trhu práce, který je podložen rešerší odborné literatury a vědeckých článků. Čerpáno je primárně z číselných dat, jako jsou Eurostat a Český statistický úřad. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou vymezená základní teoretická východiska za účelem následujícího zpracování praktické části. Dále jsou objasněny základní pojmy pro porozumění dané problematice, také genderová nerovnost na trhu práce, flexibilní formy zaměstnávání a vysvětlení pojmu a souvislostí s tzv. work-life balance. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu sekundárních dat, která je podpořena kvalitativním výzkumem. V analýze sekundárních dat je zde srovnána situace žen na trhu práce v ČR v komparaci s ostatními zeměmi EU, i napříč Českou republikou. Kvalitativní výzkum byl zaměřen především na otázku work-life balance. V závěru jsou podány návrhy a doporučení, které by mohly vést ke zlepšení situace v této oblasti. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the position of women in the labor market within the Czech Republic and the European Union. Emphasis is placed on describing the differing positions of women and men in the current labor market, supported by research from professional literature and scientific articles. Primary sources of data include Eurostat and the Czech Statistical Office. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part defines the basic theoretical framework for the subsequent processing of the practical part. It also clarifies essential concepts to understand the given issue, such as gender inequality in the labor market, flexible employment forms, and the explanation of the term and connections with "work-life balance." The practical part includes quantitative research, complemented by qualitative research. The quantitative research compares the situation of women in the labor market in the Czech Republic with other EU countries and across different regions within the Czech Republic. The qualitative research primarily focuses on the question of work-life balance. In conclusion, proposals and recommendations are presented, which could lead to improvements in this area. |
