| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá inovační výkonností ČR v letech 2015 až 2022 a její komparaci s ostatními členskými státy. Hlavním cílem bylo s využitím dat publikovaných Evropskou komisí v EIS identifikovat silné a slabé stránky inovační výkonnosti ČR v porovnání s průměrem EU a jejich změny v čase. Dalším cílem bylo poukázat vliv metodologie použité při konstrukci kompozitního indikátoru na pořadí zemí. Inovační výkonnost byla analyzována pomocí 12 dimenzí metodologie EIS. Během sledovaného období došlo k posílení inovační výkonnosti a konvergenci směrem k průměru EU. Mezi silné stránky ČR v roce 2022 patří dimenze inovátoři, informační technologie a dopady na zaměstnanost. ČR dosahuje konkurenční nevýhody v dimenzi duševního vlastnictví. Alternativní metody finální agregace (geometrický průměr, harmonický průměr) snižují možnost kompenzace mezi indikátory a dle zjištěných výsledků zpravidla penalizují země s vyšší variabilitou mezi zkoumanými proměnnými. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the innovation performance of the Czech Republic between 2015 and 2022 and its comparison with other Member States. The main objective was to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the innovation performance of the Czech Republic in comparison with the EU average and their changes over time using data published by the European Commission in the EIS. Another objective was to show the impact of the methodology used in the construction of the composite indicator on the ranking of countries. Innovation performance was analysed using the 12 dimensions of the EIS methodology. During the period under review, innovation performance has strengthened and converged towards the EU average. The strengths of the Czech Republic in 2022 include the dimensions innovators, information technology and employment impacts. The Czech Republic achieves a competitive disadvantage in the intellectual property dimension. Alternative methods of final aggregation (geometric mean, harmonic mean) reduce the possibility of compensation between indicators and, according to the observed results, generally penalise countries with higher variability between the variables under study. |
