| Abstract: | Disertační práce je věnována tématu role státu v procesu ekonomického rozvoje, resp. pozici státu uvnitř společenského systému a jeho významu pro transformaci ekonomického systému. Primárním objektem zkoumání je společenský systém Indie, a to prizmatem politické ekonomie akcentující vzájemné vymezování státu a trhu na pozadí etablovaných společenských jevů. Hlavním cílem je definovat dlouhodobé společensko-historické determinanty uvnitř struktury indického společenského systému, vysvětlit jejich vliv na pozici státu uvnitř společenského systému a s ohledem na jeho pozici vymezit roli státu v procesu strukturální transformace ekonomického systému probíhající v 80. a 90. letech 20. století. Za účelem rozšíření kontextu a posílení argumentace je na základě zvolené metody systémové analýzy a v kontextu systémové dynamiky sekundárním cílem komparace s pozicí státu ve společenském systému Číny, resp. vymezení odlišností této pozice a její role v procesu a konečném stavu transformace ekonomických systémů. Výsledným argumentem je rozdílná míra politické a ekonomické de/centralizace odvíjející se od historicky rozdílně vnímané a akceptované autority státu s vazbou na společenskou integritu a rozhodovací a fiskální kapacity nižších úrovní řízení státu. |

| Abstract: | This PhD thesis is devoted to the role of the state in the process of economic development, or the position of the state within the social system and its importance for the transformation of the economic system. The primary object of research is the social system of India, through the prism of political economy emphasizing the mutual relationship of the state and the market being influenced by established social phenomena. The main objective is to define the long-standing socio-historical determinants within the structure of the Indian social system, to explain their influence on the position of the state within the social system, and to delineate the role of the state in the process of structural transformation of the economic system taking place in the 1980s and 1990s. In order to broaden the context and strengthen the final argument, based on the chosen method of system analysis and in the context of system dynamics, the secondary objective is to compare with the position of the state in the social system of China, or to define the differences of this position and its role in the process and final state of transformation of economic systems. The resulting argument is the differing degrees of political and economic de/centralization derived from the historically differently perceived and accepted authority of the state with links to the social integrity and decision-making and fiscal capacities of lower levels of state governance. |
