| Abstract: | Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou regulace nového fenoménu práce prostřednictvím digitálních platforem na vnitřním trhu EU v kontextu sociální politiky jako jedné z unijních kompetencí. V teoretické části jsou představeny specifické rysy regulace EU a obchodní model digitálních platforem včetně podílu jejich pracovníků na unijní pracovní síle. Aplikační část analyzuje návrh směrnice o zlepšení pracovních podmínek při práci prostřednictvím platforem včetně dosud proběhlého legislativního procesu. Hlavními přínosy návrhu směrnice je konstrukce právní domněnky zaměstnaneckého statusu pracovníků a nová úprava ochrany osobních údajů při použití automatizovaných systémů (umělé inteligence) v pracovních vztazích. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis tackles the possible regulation of digital platform work in the EU internal market, being a recent phenomenon. The research is oriented on social policy as one of the EU competences. In the theoretical part, some specific features of EU regulation and the business model of digital platforms are presented, including the data regarding platform workers and their share on the EU workforce. The analytical part examines the draft directive on improving working conditions in platform work, together with its ongoing legislative process. The principal positive features of the draft directive are the legal presumption of the employment status for platform workers and the new regulation of personal data protection in automated decision and supervision mechanisms (i.e. artificial intelligence) in work conditions. |
