Challenges and opportunities in everyday use of Internet of Things

Nowadays the Internet of Things is becoming an integral part of every enterprise and many products. What was considered futuristic before is becoming commonplace. With the use of technology, many issues facing modern society that were formerly dependent to complex regulatory procedures have been resolved. As a result, it is necessary to improve the areas where the quality of services is now an issue. The thesis is related to the consideration of methods for improving the quality and comfort of work from the office for employees using IoT technologies. This master thesis explores challenges and opportunities of the Internet of things from people and companies’ point of view. Understanding this made it possible to identify several features that were previously ignored in the Smart Office environment. In the course of reviewing the problems faced by employees working in the office, it is possible to establish the criteria for IoT systems for efficient integration of these technologies into the research area through a detailed analysis. The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the effectiveness of the integration of IoT solutions into the workspace, for an improvement of overall comfort in the offices. This master thesis will consider several tasks: simulation of sensor traffic, processing of the received data and their visualization. The solution can be used as a module of Smart Office.
