| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku chybějících best practices v oblasti konceptu data mesh. Hlavním cílem práce je vytvoření těchto best practices, které se týkají implementace konceptu data mesh do organizací. Jejich cílem je zjednodušení implementace konceptu. První část práce se zabývá analýzou současného stavu poznání v rámci konceptu data mesh. Následně je pomocí metody Systematic mapping study provedena rešerše odborné literatury, která se zabývá implementací konceptu v jednotlivých organizacích, jeho implementačními důvody a implementačními výzvami. V další části práce je čtenáři obecně popisován koncept data mesh a jeho principy. Poté je kladen důraz na jeden z jeho principů, kterým jsou datové produkty. Ty jsou definovány, vymezeny a je také stanoveno, jaké prvky musí datové produkty obsahovat či jaká metadata je vhodné o datových produktech sbírat. Dále je vytvořen praktický postup, podle kterého mohou být datové produkty v rámci organizace identifikovány a tvořeny. Poslední část práce se týká vypracování praktického use casu. Na něm je demonstrováno jednak využití postupu tvorby datových produktů, ale také návrh transformace datové architektury budované podle metody inmon tak, aby byla přizpůsobena konceptu data mesh. |

| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the issue of missing best practices in the field of the data mesh concept. The main goal of the thesis is to create these best practices, which concern the implementation of the data mesh concept within an organization. The aim of the best practices is to simplify the implementation of the concept. The first part of the thesis analyses the current state of knowledge within the data mesh concept. Subsequently, a systematic mapping study method is used to research professional literature that deals with the implementation of the concept in various organizations, its implementation reasons, and implementation challenges. In the next part of the thesis, the data mesh concept and its principles are described to the reader. Then, emphasis is placed on one of its principles, which is data products. They are defined, outlined, and it is also determined what elements data products must contain or what metadata is suitable to collect about data products. Furthermore, a practical procedure is developed, according to which data products can be identified and created within the organization. The last part of the thesis concerns the development of a practical use case. It demonstrates the use of the data product creation process and also proposes the transformation of data architecture built according to the inmon method so that it is adapted to the data mesh concept. |
