| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá postojem vlády České republiky k pořadatelské roli Číny na zimních olympijských hrách 2022. Hlavní zaměření je na diplomatický bojkot v reakci na lidskoprávní problémy, zejména vůči Ujgurům. Práce využívá teoretického rámce sportovní diplomacie a logiky vhodnosti a výhodnosti. Empirická část analyzuje postoj vlády skrze výroky a konfrontuje ho s názory veřejnosti získanými dotazníkovým šetřením. Závěr ukazuje, že postoj byl ovlivněn kombinací morálních hodnot a snahou udržet příznivé postavení České republiky v mezinárodním kontextu. Práce podněcuje k budoucímu výzkumu v oblasti dlouhodobých dopadů diplomatického bojkotu a komparativní analýze postojů ČR a jiných států k Číně. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis examines the Czech government's position on China's hosting role of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The main focus is on the diplomatic boycott in response to human rights issues, particularly in relation to the Uyghurs. The thesis uses the theoretical framework of sports diplomacy and the logic of appropriateness and convenience. The empirical part analyses the government's stance through statements and contrasts it with the public's views obtained through a questionnaire survey. The conclusion shows that attitudes were influenced by a combination of moral values and a desire to maintain a favourable position of the Czech Republic in the international context. The paper encourages future research into the long-term effects of the diplomatic boycott and comparative analysis of the attitudes of the Czech Republic and other states towards China. |
