| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá významem eventů pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu v destinaci Vodňany. Hlavním cílem je zhodnotit význam a přínosy Vodňanských rybářských dnů se zaměřením na místní obyvatele. Zkoumány jsou dopady slavností na Vodňany a místní obyvatele z pohledu pozitivních a negativních efektů, které sebou pořádání eventů přináší. Teoretická část je zaměřena na definici základních pojmů v oblasti cestovního ruchu a typologie návštěvníků, charakterizování a klasifikování eventů, zmapování vlivů eventů na destinace a v neposlední řadě je v této části práce představen i event management a marketing. Praktická část práce se zabývá analýzou Vodňanských rybářských dnů, činností Městského kulturního střediska a celkovým kulturním rozvojem ve městě. V této části práce je aplikován kvantitativní i kvalitativní výzkum. V rámci kvantitativního výzkumu bylo aplikováno dotazníkové šetření, které probíhalo v průběhu Vodňanských rybářských dnů 2023. Dotazníkové šetření mělo za cíl zjistit profil návštěvníků a jejich spokojenost a postoje ke slavnostem. Kvalitativní výzkum zahrnoval rozhovory s vybranými stakeholdery a pořadateli slavností, jejichž účelem bylo zjistit vnímání slavností ze strany pořadatelů a stakeholderů. Součástí diplomové práce bylo také provedení komparace vnímání slavností z pohledu místních obyvatel a návštěvníků. Zároveň byl na základě kvantitativního a kvalitativního výzkumu vyhodnocen vliv eventů na místní obyvatele a na destinaci jako takovou. Výsledky diplomové práce jsou vhodné pro pořádání eventů a zejména pro budoucí ročníky Vodňanských rybářských dnů ve Vodňanech. Zároveň je diplomová práce přínosná pro město Vodňany, Městské kulturní středisko a pro budoucí rozvoj cestovního ruchu a kulturní oblasti v destinaci Vodňany. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the importance of events for the development of tourism in the Vodňany destination. The main goal is to evaluate the importance and benefits of the Vodňanské rybářské dny with a focus on local residents. The effects of the festivities on the people of Vodňany and local residents are examined from the point of view of the positive and negative effects that the organization of events brings. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of basic concepts in the field of tourism and typology of visitors, characterization and classification of events, mapping of the effects of events on destinations, and last but not least, event management and marketing are also introduced in this part of the work. The practical part of the work deals with the analysis of the Vodňanské rybářské dny, the activities of the Municipal Cultural Center and the overall cultural development in the city. Quantitative and qualitative research is applied in this part of the work. As part of the quantitative research, a questionnaire survey was applied, which took place during the Vodňanské rybářské dny 2023. The aim of the questionnaire survey was to determine the profile of the visitors and their satisfaction and attitudes towards the festivities. Qualitative research included interviews with selected stakeholders and organizers of the festivities, the purpose of which was to find out the perception of the festivities by the organizers and stakeholders. Part of the diploma thesis was also a comparison of the perception of the festivities from the point of view of local residents and visitors. At the same time, based on quantitative and qualitative research, the impact of the events on local residents and the destination as such was evaluated. The results of the thesis are suitable for organizing events and especially for future editions of the Vodňanské rybářské dny in Vodňany. At the same time, the thesis is beneficial for the city of Vodňany, the Municipal Cultural Center and for the future development of tourism and the cultural area in the Vodňany destination. |
