| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce analyzuje potravinovou soběstačnost České republiky v rámci Evropské unie s důrazem na vliv pandemie COVID-19 a války na Ukrajině. Práce identifikuje úrovně potravinové soběstačnosti a zkoumá, jakým způsobem tyto události ovlivnily stabilitu potravinového zabezpečení v zemi. Zaměřuje se rovněž na podpůrné programy, které mají vliv na potravinovou soběstačnost. S využitím hloubkových rozhovorů s klíčovými osobami z odvětví potravinářství a zemědělství odhaluje tato práce aktuální problémy a trendy ve směřování potravinové soběstačnosti. Přestože současná míra potravinové soběstačnosti České republiky dosahuje vyšších hodnot, studie zdůrazňuje zranitelnost a potenciální rizika, která by mohla ohrozit budoucí stabilitu potravinového zabezpečení v zemi. Vzhledem k aktuálnosti a relevantnosti tématu, si text klade za cíl upozornit na naléhavost problému a poukázat na nejkritičtější potravinové oblasti. Závěry práce naznačují, že potravinová soběstačnost je nezbytným prvkem pro stabilní fungování státu a společnosti. Diplomová práce tak přispívá k diskuzi o důležitosti a opatřeních k ochraně potravinové soběstačnosti v současném a budoucím kontextu. |

| Abstract: | This thesis analyses the food self-sufficiency of the Czech Republic within the European Union with emphasis on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The thesis identifies levels of food self-sufficiency and examines how these events have affected the stability of food security in the country. It also focuses on the support programs that affect food self-sufficiency. Using in-depth interviews with key individuals in the food and agriculture sectors, this paper reveals current issues and trends in the direction of food self-sufficiency. Although the current level of food self-sufficiency in the Czech Republic is higher, the study highlights vulnerabilities and potential risks that could threaten the future stability of food security in the country. Due to the relevance and actuality of the topic, the text aims to highlight the urgency of the problem and point out the most critical food areas. The conclusions of the paper suggest that food self-sufficiency is a necessary element for the stable functioning of the state and society. Thus, the thesis contributes to the discussion on the importance and measures to protect food sovereignty in the current and future context. |
