In the theoretical part, three key concepts are introduced to better understand the issue - feminism in international relations, ecofeminism and climate policy. The empirical part analyses the region as a whole using correlation analysis, and then each country separately in the period 2019-2023. The aim of the paper was to find out what is the correlation between women's representation in the parliaments of the V4 countries and their climate protection policies, of which the numerical rating was obtained from the Climate Change Performace Index (CCPI). The correlation for the whole region came out to be almost 25%, confirming the positive impact of higher representation of women in V4 parliaments on climate protection policy. As for the development of the individual V4 countries, the correlation always came out in negative figures and thus the correlation was not proven, but this is due to the lack of change in representation over the time period and the impact of the key events - Covid and the war in Ukraine. |
