Functioning of the Fire Brigade of the City of Prague from 2009 to 2022 in terms of logistics and its optimization

This thesis focuses on the logistics of the Fire Rescue Service in Prague in the years 2009 - 2022. The thesis focuses on the description of the population, the territory where the members of the Fire Rescue Service in Prague intervene and the risk areas. In the next section, the fire protection units and the emergencies they intervene in are described. The knowledge of the development and frequency of individual emergencies is important for planning logistics and the most efficient distribution of fire districts and the location of fire stations in the territory of Prague. The practical part of the thesis focuses on trend and seasonality analysis of individual emergencies, detailed analysis of fires and technical interventions with emphasis on average times within interventions, arrivals, etc. in order to provide the basis for logistical optimization of the current layout of fire districts. The paper concludes by presenting key recommendations and conclusions drawn from the analyses examined, for improving current processes and relieving locally overloaded units. Overall, this thesis provides a comprehensive view of the background of fire protection officer interventions, their frequency and time requirements. Which can help with streamlining the logistic processes and increasing the efficiency of the Fire Rescue Department in Prague.
