| Abstract: | Informační a komunikační technologie (ICT) jsou dnes nedílnou součástí našeho každodenního života. Informační a komunikační technologie jsou zásadní v odvětvích, jako je vzdělávání, vláda a podnikání, a přispívají k efektivitě, konektivitě a inovacím v naší moderní společnosti. Hrají důležitou roli v ekonomickém růstu a konkurenceschopnosti zemí. Členské země Sdružení národů jihovýchodní Asie (ASEAN) se liší v úrovni implementace ICT. Proto budeme zkoumat, jak se země liší z hlediska úrovně implementace ICT. Hlavním cílem této práce je prozkoumat vliv ICT v tomto regionu na ekonomický růst a konkurenceschopnost v letech 2015 až 2019. V tomto období tyto země zavedly různé strategie, politiky a hlavní plány, které měly za cíl ovlivnit rozvoj sektoru ICT. Pro naplnění cíle práce stanovujeme čtyři hypotézy, z nichž každá zkoumá, zda existuje pozitivní korelace mezi implementací ICT a konkrétním ekonomickým ukazatelem (růst reálného HDP, přímé zahraniční investice, konkurenceschopnost a inovace). |

| Abstract: | Information and communication technologies (ICT) are an integral part of our everyday lives. ICT is essential in sectors such as education, government and business and contributes to efficiency, connectivity and innovation in our modern society. They play an important role in the economic growth and competitiveness of countries. The member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) vary in their level of ICT implementation. Therefore, we will examine how countries differ in terms of the level of ICT implementation. The main objective of this paper is to examine the impact of ICT in this region on economic growth and competitiveness from 2015 to 2019. During this period, these countries have implemented various strategies, policies and master plans to influence the development of the ICT sector. To meet the objective of this paper, we set four hypotheses, each of which examines whether there is a positive correlation between ICT implementation and a specific economic indicator (real GDP growth, foreign direct investment, competitiveness and innovation). |
