| Abstract: | The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine how the current account of the balance of payments, the overall external balance and the competitiveness of the Slovak Republic have evolved in the period between the accession to the European Union and the adoption of the common european currency and subsequently after the adoption of euro up to the present day. This is all in comparison with the Czech Republic over the same time period. |
