| Abstract: | This study aims to provide a deep comprehension of the phenomenon of corruption, its consequences in Central and Eastern Europe, and the most prominent mitigation tools in the region. Furthermore, it strives to identify and evaluate how the communist administration could have provoked long-lasting effects that resulted in the development of higher levels of corruption in this area. It is through a multidisciplinary comparison that this study intends to address the economic and social consequences that result from the presence of higher levels of corruption. Additionally, this analysis identifies some of the most prominent trends in the fight against corruption in countries such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. The study highlights the assets and shortcomings of the mitigation tools against corruption in this region. The comparative analysis concludes with a set of recommendations that emphasize decisions to enhance democratic values and debilitate the assets that strengthened corruption. |

| Abstract: | Tato studie si klade za cíl poskytnout hluboké pochopení fenoménu korupce, jejích důsledků ve střední a východní Evropě a nejvýznamnějších zmírňujících nástrojů v regionu. Dále se snaží identifikovat a vyhodnotit, jak mohla komunistická administrativa vyvolat dlouhodobé dopady, které vedly k rozvoji vyšší míry korupce v této oblasti. Právě prostřednictvím multidisciplinárního srovnání se tato studie hodlá zabývat ekonomickými a sociálními důsledky, které vyplývají z přítomnosti vyšší míry korupce. Tato analýza navíc identifikuje některé z nejvýznamnějších trendů v boji proti korupci v zemích, jako je Česká republika, Maďarsko, Polsko a Rumunsko. Studie poukazuje na přednosti a nedostatky nástrojů zmírňování korupce v tomto regionu. Srovnávací analýza končí souborem doporučení, která zdůrazňují rozhodnutí posílit demokratické hodnoty a oslabit aktiva, která posílila korupci. |
