| Abstract: | The main aim of this thesis is to examine the ways in which the economy of the United Kingdom has been impacted by Brexit. The first chapter includes an introduction of what the topic is about, why it is relevant and the three main research questions. The second chapter includes a literature review whose aim is to understand what sort of sources are already available on the topic and what the author gets from those sources. The third chapter is dedicated to the economic impacts of Brexit. The fourth chapter is dedicated to economic indicators which help understand the change in the economy of the UK because of Brexit. The fifth chapter, is dedicated to a financial case study where the impacts of Brexit on the investment banking sector have been analysed. The way information was collected for this thesis is using online sources and also interviews with investment banking professionals for the last chapter. The main findings of the thesis are then summarized in the conclusion of the thesis |

| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této práce je prozkoumat způsoby, jakými byla ekonomika Spojeného království ovlivněna brexitem. První kapitola obsahuje úvod o tom, čeho se téma týká, proč je relevantní a tři hlavní výzkumné otázky. Druhá kapitola obsahuje literární rešerši, jejímž cílem je porozumět tomu, jaké zdroje jsou již k tématu k dispozici a co z nich autor získává. Třetí kapitola je věnována ekonomickým dopadům Brexitu. Čtvrtá kapitola je věnována ekonomickým ukazatelům, které pomáhají pochopit změny v ekonomice Spojeného království v důsledku Brexitu. Pátá kapitola je věnována finanční případové studii, kde byly analyzovány dopady Brexitu na sektor investičního bankovnictví. Způsob sběru informací pro tuto práci využívá online zdroje a také rozhovory s profesionály investičního bankovnictví v poslední kapitole. Hlavní poznatky práce jsou pak shrnuty v závěru práce |
