| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce analyzuje proměnu rétoriky o válce proti teroru ve strategických dokumentech USA od roku 2001 do roku 2022. Válka proti teroru je chápána jako komplexní bezpečnostní strategie, která byla reakcí na teroristické útoky z 11. září 2001 a která zahrnovala řadu vojenských, politických, diplomatických a legislativních opatření. Práce využívá kvalitativní obsahovou analýzu pro identifikaci hlavního kontextu, témat, hodnot, cílů, hrozeb a spojenců, které se objevují ve strategických dokumentech a zkoumá, jak se měnila jejich rétorika, priority a cíle. V závěru této práce je zhodnocen vývoj rétoriky o válce proti teroru během čtyř amerických administrativ a je diskutováno, zda válka proti teroru skončila nebo pokračuje, a jaký vliv mělo ukončení války v Afghánistánu na tuto strategii. |

| Abstract: | This thesis analyses the transformation of rhetoric on the War on Terror in the US strategic documents from 2001 to 2022. The War on Terror is understood as a complex security strategy that was formulated as a response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and that involved a range of military, political, diplomatic and legislative measures. The thesis uses qualitative content analysis to identify the main context, themes, values, goals, threats and allies that appear in the documents and examines how the rhetoric, priorities and goals changed over time. Towards the end of the thesis the development of the rhetoric over the course of four US administrations is presented. The thesis also evaluates whether the War on Terror ended or continues, and what impact the end of the war in Afghanistan had on this strategy. |
