| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje analýze konkurenčního prostředí v bankovním sektoru v České republice. Hlavním cílem práce je provést analýzu konkurence bankovního sektoru a určit, do jaké míry je toto tržní prostředí koncentrované. Dílčím cílem je určení nejvýznamnějších bankovních institucí, které se vyskytují na finančním trhu v České republice. V úvodu se tato práce zabývá pojmem konkurence a popisem základních tržních struktur z pohledu mikroekonomie. Další část se věnuje bankovnímu systému a jeho specifikům oproti ostatním odvětvím. V praktické části jsou vybrané bankovní společnosti vzájemně porovnávány z pohledu několika základních parametrů. Závěrečná část cílí na provedení výpočtů míry koncentrace bankovního sektoru v České republice pomocí ukazatele koncentračního poměru (ukazatel CRn) a Herfindahl-Hirschmanova indexu (HHI). |

| Abstract: | The thesis is dedicated to analysing the competitive environment in the banking sector in the Czech Republic. The main objective of the work is to analyse the competition of the banking sector and to determine the extent to which this market environment is concentrated. The partial objective is to identify the most important banking institutions that are present on the financial market in the Czech Republic. In the introduction, this paper deals with the notion of competition and the description of basic market structures from the perspective of microeconomics. Another section deals with the banking system and its specifics relative to other sectors. In the practical part, selected banking companies are compared from the perspective of several basic parameters. The final part aims to perform calculations of the concentration rate of the banking sector in the Czech Republic using the concentration ratio indicator (the CRn indicator) and the Herfindahl-Hirschman index (HHI). |
