| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá národní konkurenceschopností a způsoby jejího měření. Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení postavení České republiky v rámci zemí V4 založené na komparaci výsledků vybraných metod používaných k měření národní konkurenceschopnosti. Teoretická část představuje pojem národní konkurenceschopnost a teoreticky vymezuje způsoby jejího měření. Je prezentován v současnosti tradiční způsob měření národní konkurenceschopnosti používaný pro mezinárodní srovnání, tj. vybrané multikriteriální ukazatele, a je také popsán základní model, kterým se inspirují kompozitní indikátory národní konkurenceschopnosti, tj. Porterův model diamantu, a jeho modifikace, umožňující adaptaci modelu na měnící se podmínky globální ekonomiky. V praktické části je jednak provedena vlastní komparace výsledků zvolených metod, jednak jsou identifikovány konkurenční výhody a nevýhody srovnávaných zemí. Aplikace různých modelů umožňuje posoudit, jak zvolená metodologie konstrukce kompozitního indikátoru ovlivňuje rozdíly v hodnocení zemí mezi sebou. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with national competitiveness and the ways of its measurement. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the position of the Czech Republic within the V4 countries based on a comparison of the results of selected methods used to measure national competitiveness. The theoretical part introduces the concept of national competitiveness and theoretically defines the methods of its measurement. It presents the currently traditional way of measuring national competitiveness used for international comparison, i.e. selected multi-criteria indicators, and also describes the basic model that inspires composite indicators of national competitiveness, i.e. Porter's Diamond Model, and its modifications, which allow the model to be adapted to the changing conditions of the global economy. In the practical part, both the actual comparison of the results of the chosen methods is carried out, and the competitive advantages and disadvantages of the compared countries are identified. The application of different models allows to assess how the chosen methodology of composite indicator construction affects the differences in the assessment of countries among themselves. |
