Tyrolean Jets & Services Sustainability Strategy

The goal of this diploma thesis is to design a sustainability strategy for a business jet operating company. Strategic options and criteria for their selection are based on thorough internal and external analysis, which created a comprehensive overview of current situation within the company and the industry. The first section of the theoretical part presents current state of sustainability in aviation, declares targets that were set by the United Nations and the European Union, and introduces various support mechanisms designated to reduce the negative environmental impact of aviation. Next section of this part contains information about the design of qualitative research together with the explanation of various consulting methodologies that were applied during the problem identification and solving phases. The first section of the practical part consists of external and internal analysis. The external analysis is conducted within the PESTEL framework and then enhanced with information published by various airlines. The internal analysis, which serves as a base for the subsequent design of strategic options and assessment criteria, is conducted through interviews with employees of the organization.
