The main objective of this paper is to assess the position of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic through a PEST factor analysis and an analysis of the Fitch Solution Risk/Reward Index from the rating agency Fitch Solutions. In addition, it focuses in more detail on the identification of external factors that influence the business environment in the automotive industry in the Czech Republic. Another aspect is the assessment of phenomena that may pose external threats in the future, and finally the formulation of the author's opinion, which includes an evaluation of the opportunities and threats facing the automotive industry in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis first defines the key concepts devoted to the strategic analysis of the company, with special emphasis on PEST analysis and the Risk/Reward Index methodology. These theoretical concepts are then applied in the practical part of the thesis. Furthermore, the theoretical part provides information about the Czech automotive industry, including its definition, history and current position. In the practical part of the thesis, based on the knowledge from the theoretical part, a PEST analysis and evaluation of the results of the Risk/Reward Index for the automotive industry in the Czech Republic is performed. This part of the thesis provides a comprehensive view of the key external factors influencing the business environment in the industry and contributes to a deeper understanding of the current challenges and opportunities facing the Czech automotive industry. |
