| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá porovnáním trhů práce v České republice a Polsku v letech 1990–2004, tedy od začátku období transformace do vstupu obou států do Evropské unie. Hlavním cílem práce je ověření hypotézy, že ve sledovaném období politika zaměstnanosti v České republice byla účinnější, než tomu bylo v Polsku a byla hlavní příčinou nižší míry nezaměstnanosti. Na základě analýzy vývoje nezaměstnanosti obou zemí, porovnání politiky zaměstnanosti obou států se podařilo vyvrátit, že by politika nezaměstnanosti byla hlavní příčinou nižší míry nezaměstnanosti v České republice. Byť mohla mít částečný vliv, neprokázalo se, že by byla hlavním faktorem rozdílného vývoje nezaměstnanosti. Nezaměstnanost tak byla výsledkem několika dalších faktorů. Přínosem práce je komplexní porovnání aspektů trhů práce a vývoje nezaměstnanosti včetně jeho příčin. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the labor market in Czechia and Poland in the years 1990–2004, i.e. from the beginning of the transformation until the entry of both countries into the European Union. The main objective of the thesis is to test the hypothesis that unemployment policy in Czechia was more effective that it was in Poland and that was the main cause of lower unemployment rate. Based on the analysis of the development of unemployment in both countries and a comparison of the employment policy of both countries, it failed to confirm that employment policy was the main cause of lower unemployment rate in the Czechia. Although it may have a partial influence, it was not shown to be the main factor in the differential development of unemployment, which was the result of several other factors. The contribution of the thesis is a comprehensive comparison of aspects of labour markets and the development of unemployment including its causes. |
