Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá úlohu Organizace spojených národů (OSN) v palestinsko-izraelském konfliktu během druhé Intifády. Analyzuje, jak se OSN prostřednictvím mírových misí a mezinárodních rezolucí snažila řešit tento dlouhotrvající konflikt, a hodnotí efektivitu těchto snah. Práce kombinuje teoretické perspektivy s praktickou analýzou specifických iniciativ OSN, jako jsou Mitchellova zpráva a Roadmap míru, aby posoudila, zda a jak mohly přispět k mírovému řešení. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována politickým a strukturálním limitacím, které omezují úspěšnost OSN v konfliktních oblastech. |

This bachelor thesis examines the role of the United Nations (UN) in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict during the Second Intifada. It analyzes how the UN, through peacekeeping missions and international resolutions, attempted to address this longstanding conflict and evaluates the effectiveness of these efforts. The thesis combines theoretical perspectives with practical analysis of specific UN initiatives, such as the Mitchell Report and the Roadmap for Peace, to assess whether and how they could contribute to a peaceful resolution. Special attention is paid to the political and structural limitations that restrict the UN's success in conflict areas. |
