The Paris Agreement and Its Role in Global Efforts to Mitigate Climate Change: A Case Study of the Czech Republic and Norway

Over the last thirty years, countless bodies of legislation have been developed to address climate change as one of the most pressing issues of modern times. The present bachelor thesis therefore focuses on climate change from the perspective of implementing the Paris Agreement, with a focus on the Czech Republic and Norway. The whole bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The first part of the thesis deals with climate change as a global problem. At the same time, the Paris Agreement itself will be discussed. In the practical part of the thesis, a comparative case study will be presented, where the interest of this bachelor thesis will be to explore the comparison of approaches, practices, and outcomes of the Czech Republic and Norway to the Paris Agreement. This thesis aims to find out how the Czech Republic and Norway approach the Paris Agreement and what differences exist in these approaches, practices, and outcomes between the countries.
