| Abstract: | Tato práce zkoumá vliv První americké dámy Eleanor Rooseveltové na politiku jejího manžela a amerického prezidenta Franklina Delano Roosevelta. Cílem této práce je zjistit, v jakých situacích Eleanor Franklina ovlivnila a jaká rozhodnutí kvůli ní učinil. Práce se bude zabývat výzkumnou otázkou, jaký měla Eleanor Rooseveltová vliv na politiku Franklina D. Roosevelta. K zodpovězení výzkumné otázky a naplnění cílů je využita metoda historické analýzy případové studie skrze zkoumání biografií, historických odborných dokumentů, životopisů a dopisů. Provedeným výzkumem byly zjištěné a popsané přesně situace, ve kterých měla Eleanor vliv na Franklina a které dokazují rozsah jejího vlivu na něj. Z práce vyplívá, že Eleanor měla vliv na politiku Franklina a díky její pomoci byl významným politikem a prezidentem s nejdelším funkčním obdobím historie Ameriky. Díky Eleanor měl velký pozitivní dosah na práva menšin a spolu změnili život nespočetně lidem. |

| Abstract: | This thesis examines the influence of America's First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, on the policies of her husband and U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The objective of this thesis is to determine in what situations Eleanor influenced Franklin and what decisions he made because of her. The thesis will address the research question of how Eleanor Roosevelt influenced Franklin D. Roosevelt's politics. To answer the research question and fulfill the objectives, the method of historical case study analysis is used through the examination of autobiographies, historical scholarly documents, biographies, and letters. The research conducted has identified and described the exact situations in which Eleanor influenced Franklin, demonstrating the extent of her influence on him. The thesis shows that Eleanor had an influence on Franklin's policies and because of her help he was a prominent politician and the president with the longest-serving term in American history. Thanks to Eleanor he had a great positive impact on minority rights and together they changed the lives of countless people. |
