| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuálním tématem mezinárodních vztahů, a to genderovou nerovností v oblasti politické participace žen. Práce se zaměřuje na Írán a Saúdskou Arábii jako příklady regionálních mocností s konzervativním politickým systémem. Autorka práce zkoumá politické, institucionální, kulturní, ideologické a socioekonomické překážky, kterým čelí ženy v Íránu a Saudské Arábii při prosazování svých politických práv a příležitostí. Součástí práce je analýza zastoupení žen v politických institucích, účasti na trhu práce, ochrany práva na vzdělání a diskriminace v rodině, zde autorka své zjištění porovnává v kontextech obou zemích. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with a current issue in international relations, namely gender inequality in women's political participation. The thesis focuses on Iran and Saudi Arabia as examples of regional powers with conservative political systems. The author examines the political, institutional, cultural, ideological and socio-economic obstacles that women in Iran and Saudi Arabia face while asserting their political rights and opportunities. The thesis includes an analysis of women's representation in political institutions, participation in the labour market, protection of the right to education, and discrimination in the family; here the author compares her findings in the contexts of both countries. |
