| Abstract: | Urbánní konflikt představuje dnes jeden z rysů moderního válčení, kdy se města stávají novým bojištěm. Tato bakalářská práce reprezentuje diachronní komparativní analýzu vývoje urbánní války ve 20. a 21. století se zaměřením na vojenské strategie, technologie a využití zastavěného prostoru. Práce je zaměřena na problematiku izraelsko-palestinského konfliktu, ve kterém můžeme postupem času pozorovat výrazné změny z hlediska války ve městech. Práce zkoumá, jak se v průběhu konfliktu formovalo městské prostředí, a zkoumá také vývoj vojenských strategií, používaných technologií a mimo jiné se zaměřuje i na využívání architektury obou soupeřících stran. Komparuje tak různá období městského konfliktu a zkoumá jejich komplexnost a proměnlivost v závislosti na povaze konfliktu a zapojených aktérů. |

| Abstract: | Urban conflict is now one of the features of modern warfare, with cities becoming the new battlefield. This thesis represents a diachronic comparative analysis of the evolution of urban warfare in the 20th and 21st centuries, focusing on military strategies, technologies and the use of urban space. The thesis focuses on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in which we can observe significant changes over time in terms of urban warfare. The thesis examines how the urban environment has been shaped throughout the conflict. Also, it explores the evolution of military strategies, the technologies used, and the use of architecture by both opposing sides, among other things. It therefore compares different periods of urban conflict and examines their complexity and variability depending on the nature of the conflict and the involved actors. |
