Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá environmentálním managementem v kontextu společenské odpovědnosti nadnárodních společností. |

Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with environmental management in the context of corporate social responsibility of multinational companies. The aim of this thesis is to identify the main motivating factors that lead to the implementation of environmentally directed management systems (EMS) in medium and large multinational companies. The introductory part of the thesis theoretically characterizes environmental management (EM) and its approaches, with an emphasis on EMS and the possibility of their implementation and certification. It also analyses the barriers and motivators for EMS implementation in companies. The second part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of in-depth interviews conducted as part of a qualitative research with people who have implemented EMS in companies or made decisions about it, in order to identify the main motivating factors for this management. Among the most important findings are that while multinational companies implement EMS for economic benefits and increased competitiveness, national companies are primarily motivated by environmental legislation and customer pressure, with internal motivational factors perceived as secondary for both types of companies. |
