| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá ekonomickým postavením Pobřeží slonoviny v kontextu francouzské nadvlády a její hospodářské vazby s Francií. Práce porovnává, zda přínosy jednotné měny převyšují negativní dopady a prospívají zájmům členských zemí. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na koncept postkolonialismu a vznik měnové unie CFA franku, zdůrazňující vliv Francie. Praktická část analyzuje ekonomický vývoj Pobřeží slonoviny, s důrazem na období 2011–2022, a zkoumá vliv měnové unie na obchod a investice. Na závěr jsou diskutovány alternativy k dosavadnímu modelu, které by mohly přispět k osamostatnění a udržitelnému ekonomickému rozvoji afrických států. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor’s thesis examines Ivory Coast's economic position in the context of French rule and its economic ties to France. This study compares whether the advantages of the currency union outweigh the negative impacts and benefit the member states. The theoretical part focuses on the concept of postcolonialism and the emergence of the CFA franc currency union, highlighting the influence of France. The empirical part analyses the economic development of Ivory Coast, with emphasis on the period 2011-2022, and examines the impact of the monetary union on trade and investment. Conclusion includes alternatives to the current model that could contribute to the independence and sustainable economic development of African states. |
