| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá estonským inovačním a startupovým ekosystémem. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit relevantní charakteristiky a faktory zapřičiňující úspěch estonského inovačního a startupového ekosystému. Tohoto cíle je dosaženo pomocí komparace a syntézy výsledků vybraných empirických studií, žebříčků a oficiálních dokumentů. První kapitola se zabývá definicí a vymezením pojmu inovace, inovační indikátory, inovační katalyzátory a inovační politika. Druhá kapitola blíže zjišťuje specifika inovační politiky a vládních aktivit Estonska a zhodnocuje postavení země v globálních inovačních žebříčcích. Třetí kapitola zjišťuje specifika estonského startupového ekosystému se zaměřením na nejvlivnější aktéry z řad startupů a podpůrných organizací. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis focuses on the Estonian innovation and startup ecosystem. The main objective of the thesis is to identify the relevant characteristics and factors causing the success of the Estonian innovation and startup ecosystem. This objective is achieved by comparing and synthesizing the results of selected empirical studies, rankings and official documents. The first chapter deals with the definition of innovation, innovation indicators, innovation catalysts and innovation policy. The second chapter details the specifics of Estonia's innovation policy and government activities and assesses the country's position in global innovation rankings. The third chapter identifies the specifics of the Estonian startup ecosystem, focusing on the most influential actors among startups and support organisations. |
