The concept of digitalization of request forms and acceptance of results from the laboratory on the EUC Mamocentrum České Budějovice

The thesis focuses on current problems in the area of laboratory applications and results processing within the EUC Mamocentre in České Budějovice, with the aim of proposing possible improvements in the form of digitalization. The thesis provides an overview of the current state of information systems in health care, while the theoretical part deals with the computerization of health care, the DASTA data format, the possibilities of data transmission and the security of such transmission. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the legislative requirements and the situation in Slovakia in this area. The practical part of the thesis deals in detail with the functioning of the EUC Mamocentre in České Budějovice. The requirements for the operation of the department are described in detail to ensure a sufficient understanding of its functioning and subsequent proposal of changes. The practical part then presents specific proposed changes, such as digitization of claims, optimization of label creation and modifications in the implementation of results. These proposals are then evaluated by the specialists interviewed, who assess the benefits to the department and highlight potential risks. The aim of the thesis is to develop a concept for the digitalization of biopsy request forms within the EUC Mamocentre in České Budějovice. The first part of the proposal focuses on the creation of digital requisitions for the laboratory, while the second part is devoted to the implementation of a new process of processing results from the laboratory into the hospital information system.
