Application and automation of business processes for contract management

Automation of processes and simplification of employees' work is welcomed by almost every employer. It brings greater efficiency and the associated higher profit, or higher employee satisfaction, which will ultimately bring fruit to the company. This thesis will deal with the development of a practical application solution and automated flows implemented in the BI department in a medium-sized team. The application will be built in Power Apps and the automated flows implemented in Power Automate, formerly also known as Microsoft Power Flows. With the help of the mentioned Power Automate tool, it was possible to automate processes within the framework of contract management in the corporation within the framework of new and old contracts with customers. This is an improvement of the existing comprehensive solution of the entire process of entering, signing, and checking new and existing contracts, combined with their subsequent visualization. This End-To-End business-to-business process begins with a negotiation between the KAM (Key Account Manager) and the customer. This is followed by the automation of the process – processing together with the signature workflow until it is entered back into the billing and controlling tools. This is followed by reporting for the finance department, where the financial management can see from this accumulated data how much the balance in euros and dollars has this fiscal year, based on reports in Power BI. The work thus consists of four parts. The first part is of a theoretical nature to clarify the definitions and generally better understand the entire process. The second part then describes the previous solution. The third part will then present the new improved solution and how it was achieved. The final fourth part then compares the previous solution with the new solution focusing on their advantages and disadvantages.
