| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou úmrtnosti v České republice se zvláštním zaměřením na zhoubné novotvary. Analyzována jsou data o úmrtnosti dle věku, pohlaví a příčin úmrtí. Hlavními zdroji těchto dat jsou datové soubory z databáze Eurostatu. Údaje z Eurostatu jsou využity také za účelem mezinárodního srovnání úmrtnosti na vybrané typy zhoubných novotvarů mezi Českou republikou a vybranými evropskými státy. Jsou zde také analyzovány rizikové faktory vzniku zhoubných novotvarů, jejichž eliminace je cílem primární prevence, a rozsah screeningových programů, které jsou součástí prevence sekundární. Hlavním cílem práce je zpracování komplexní analýzy úmrtnosti v České republice dle pohlaví, věků a příčin a evaluace vlivu zhoubných novotvarů na celkovou úmrtnost. Pro účely analýzy jsou využity četné způsoby vizualizace úmrtnosti a také shluková analýza. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with the analysis of mortality in the Czech Republic with a particular focus on malignant neoplasms. Data on mortality by age, sex and causes of death are analysed. The primary sources of these data are datasets from the Eurostat database. Eurostat data are also used for international comparison of mortality from selected types of malignant neoplasms between the Czech Republic and selected European countries. The risk factors for malignant neoplasms, the elimination of which is the aim of primary prevention, and the extent of screening programmes that are part of secondary prevention are also analysed. The main aim of the thesis is to prepare a comprehensive analysis of mortality in the Czech Republic by sex, age and cause and to evaluate the impact of malignant neoplasms on overall mortality. For the purpose of the analysis, numerous methods of mortality visualisation and also cluster analysis are used. |
