| Abstract: | Cílem této práce je zjistit, jestli investice do infrastruktury jsou faktorem ovlivňujícím hospodářský růst. V první části je představen nezbytný teoretický rámec, na základě kterého je přistupováno k ověření hypotézy v praktické části. Vliv investic do infrastruktury na hospodářský růst je v praktické části odhadován za pomoci ekonometrického modelu. Tento model používá panelový dataset a zkoumá vliv investic do infrastruktury na hospodářský růst v šesti zemích střední Evropy v letech 2000-2021. Odhady jsou provedeny pomocí metody fixních i náhodných efektů. Výsledky modelu naznačují, že investice do infrastruktury jsou prokazatelně faktorem pozitivně ovlivňujícím hospodářský růst. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to determine whether infrastructure investment is a factor influencing economic growth. The first part introduces the necessary theoretical framework, which serves as the basis for testing the hypothesis in the practical part. The impact of infrastructure investment on economic growth is estimated in the practical section using an econometric model. This model utilizes a panel dataset and examines the influence of infrastructure investment on economic growth in six Central European countries from 2000 to 2021. Estimates are conducted using both fixed and random effects methods. The results of the model suggest that infrastructure investment is demonstrably a factor positively affecting economic growth. |
