Cultivation of the Czech sports environment

The thesis project focuses on the issues related to the environment of sports clubs. The first part explains the theoretical interpretation of terms directly related to the themes of environment and culture, particularly the significance of sports from health and social perspectives. The second part of the thesis project discusses the importance of actively participating in the development and cultivation of sports club environments. It sets goals regarding the significance of these activities in sports clubs, primarily from economic, organizational, and personnel perspectives—areas that help sports clubs maintain a demanding trend among athletes. The next chapter focuses on a case study of the Kaufland School of Hockey Talent project (Kauflan Škola hokejových talentů). This study concentrates on a project that directly involves target groups that influence the environment, namely players/athletes, parents, talented coaches, and managers of sports organizations. This chapter also describes the project's propositions. The case study confirms the importance of focusing on the cultivation process in the sporting environment and what it can bring, particularly an increased number of children participating in sports, better economic stability, higher loyalty of its members, and lower turnover of coaches and players. The final part of the thesis project focuses on the analysis of two hockey clubs, HC Slavoj Velké Popovice and HC Junior Mělník. Using a method based on individual interviews, questionnaires with qualitative questions, and an analysis of the Czech Hockey Association, the thesis project reflects on the positive impacts of caring for the sports environment. The conclusion of the thesis project confirms the assumption of the importance of these activities.
