| Abstract: | The following bachalor thesis gives an overview at the US subprime mortgage crisis, its characteristics and features, then describes the process of securitization and issuing asset-backed securities, shows how the housing bubble in the USA developed and the participation of all actors in it, and finally submits the destructive affects of the subprime mortgage crisis on the national and world economies. |

| Abstract: | Táto bakalářská práce se zabývá situaci na hypotečním trhu USA, jeho charakteristikami a vlastnostmi, dále popisuje jakými etapy prochází proces převedení nelikvidních cenných papírů do likvidních (hypotečních zástavních listů),jak probíhal narůst spekulační bubliny na trhu s nemovitostmi a jak k tomu přispívali jednotliví aktéři na tomto trhu, a nakonec uvádí důsledky hypoteční krize v USA a její ničivé dopady na světovou ekonomiku. |
