| Abstract: | Tato práce na příkladu konkrétních pražských sokoloven popisuje rozdílné osudy těchto staveb, jejich proměny v průběhu historie a diskutuje možnosti optimálního využití sokoloven v budoucnosti. Cílem je identifikovat možné způsoby využití, financování a zajištění udržitelnosti sokolských budov na území Prahy 9. Sokolovny zůstávají klíčové pro kvalitu života obyvatel města. Sokol je stále oblíbený, nikoliv pro svou národoveckou minulost, ale především jako dostupná forma cvičení. Tělocvičny v pražských sokolovnách jsou celoročně využívány pro širokou škálu sportovních aktivit, jejichž nabídka závisí na zájmu a iniciativě jednotlivých sokolských jednot. Některé i dnes ve své lokalitě zastávají kulturní funkci. Rozvoj jednot, a tím i sokoloven, je však omezen kapacitou oddílů, nedostatkem dobrovolníků a závislostí Sokola na dotacích. |

| Abstract: | This thesis describes the different fates of Sokol sports halls and their changes throughout history and discusses the possibilities of their optimal use in the future. The aim is to identify possible ways of using, financing and ensuring the sustainability of Sokol buildings in Prague 9. Sokol is still popular, not because of its nationalistic past, but because it is an accessible form of exercise. The gyms in Prague's Sokol sports halls are used all year round for a wide range of sporting activities, the offer of which depends on the interest and initiative of individual Sokol units. Some of them still have a cultural function in their locality. However, the development of the units, and thus of the Sokol sports halls, is limited by the capacity of the sports clubs, the lack of volunteers and the dependence of Sokol on subsidies. |
