| Abstract: | Práce prostřednictvím vlastního kvalitativního výzkumu mapuje fáze adaptačního procesu českých expatriotů na nové prostředí v Curychu a dopad přesunu na jejich každodenní životy. Práce dále mapuje, jak se měnily pocity a postoje respondentů v průběhu procesu adaptace, jaký vliv měl tento přesun na jejich každodenní životy, jaké strategie respondenti uplatňovali při přizpůsobování se novému prostředí a jak respondenti vnímají sami sebe a vývoj vlastní identity v kontextu nového prostředí. Je využíván model ABC, koncept kulturního šoku (akulturního stressu) a jeho fází. Práce navrhuje dílčí novou fázi (fázi zaneprázdnění) a ukazuje možné vztahy mezi 1) přístupem (mindsetem) k přesunu a jeho úspěchem, 2) relativní silou fáze líbánek a fáze krize. Dále identifikuje a navrhuje kategorizaci copingových strategií v kontextu expatriotů. |

| Abstract: | This study, conducted through a qualitative research approach, maps the stages of adaptation process of Czech expatriates to the new environment in Zurich, and the impact of relocation on their daily lives. It further explores how the feelings and attitudes of respondents changed during the adaptation process, the influence of this relocation on their daily lives, the strategies employed by respondents to adjust to the new environment, and how respondents perceive themselves and the development of their identity in the context of the new environment. The ABC model is utilized, the concept of culture shock (and its phases), and proposes a new intermediary phase (busyness), showing potential relationships between 1) the attitude towards relocation and its success, 2) the relative strength of the honeymoon phase and the crisis phase. Additionally, it identifies and proposes a categorization of coping strategies in the context of expatriates. |
