Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis presents a business plan for ‘Mochilero Hostel,’ a proposed budget-friendly accommodation targeting backpackers, solo travelers, and digital nomads in the beautiful region of Patagonia, Argentina. Amidst the significant growth of budget tourism and the rise of digital nomadism, this study identifies a market gap in the local hospitality market—particularly a shortage of low-cost, community-oriented lodging options in the region. The thesis integrates a variety of analytical tools and methods, including PEST and SWOT analyses, Porter's Five Forces, and market segmentation to assess the viability of the hostel and outline its strategic positioning. Financial projections and operational plans are detailed to forecast the economic sustainability and potential growth of the hostel. Between theoretical insights and practical application, this business plan aims to establish Mochilero Hostel as a leading low-budget accommodation option in the region. |
