| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá veřejnými knihovnami. Práce se zaměřuje na druhy služeb a činností, které tyto instituce svým uživatelům nabízejí. Podrobněji se práce věnuje Městské knihovně Písek, která se v roce 2019 po rozsáhlé rekonstrukci přestěhovala do vyhovujících prostor. Tato nová a dostatečně prostorná budova umožnila vznik Centra vzdělání, které poskytuje celoživotní vzdělávání píseckým občanům. Práce mapuje historii vývoje českých knihoven, včetně knihovních zákonů. Provedena je důkladná analýza poskytovaných služeb, nabídky kulturních akcí i vzdělávacích kurzů. Na závěr je vyhodnocen dotazník, který sleduje návštěvnost knihovny, zájem o její akce či zda je místní knihovna důležitou kulturní institucí. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis is about public libraries. It focuses on the types of services and activities that these institutions offer to their users. More specifically, the thesis focuses on the Municipal Library in Písek, which moved into a suitable space in 2019 after extensive renovations. This new and sufficiently spacious building has enabled the establishment of the Education Centre, which provides lifelong education for the citizens of Písek. The history of the development of Czech libraries, including library legislation, is described in the paper. A thorough analysis of the services provided the range of cultural events and educational courses is made. Finally, a questionnaire is evaluated to monitor library attendance, interest in library events, and whether the local library is an important cultural institution. |
