| Abstract: |
This dissertation explores the intersection of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payments in India with the principles of sustainable finance. The study talks about the adoption, challenges, and benefits of UPI payments in India, and how it is contributing to achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) for India by 2030. Through qualitative study, the thesis determines the changing perception of consumers and business owners about digital payments in India. Our research provides valuable insights into how the UPI payment service promotes sustainability and highlights the importance of UPI in advancing financial inclusion in India. The thesis recommends the importance of innovational changes and technological advancements for achieving sustainability and its goals. The thesis further recommends the importance of investment to be made in research and development (R&D) of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to tackle the challenges and issues generally associated with the governance aspect. |

Tato disertační práce zkoumá propojení plateb prostřednictvím Unified Payments Interface (UPI) v Indii s principy udržitelných financí. Studie se zabývá adopcí, výzvami a přínosy plateb UPI v Indii a tím, jak přispívají k dosažení cílů udržitelného rozvoje (SDGs) pro Indii do roku 2030. Prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu práce určuje měnící se vnímání spotřebitelů a podnikatelů ohledně digitálních plateb v Indii. Naše výzkum poskytuje cenné poznatky o tom, jak služba plateb UPI podporuje udržitelnost a zdůrazňuje důležitost UPI pro pokrok ve finanční inkluzi v Indii. Disertační práce doporučuje důležitost inovačních změn a technologických pokroků pro dosažení udržitelnosti a jejich cílů. Dále doporučuje význam investic do výzkumu a vývoje (R&D) Unified Payments Interface (UPI) k řešení výzev a problémů obecně spojených s aspektem správy. |
