| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je zhodnotit ekonomický vývoj společnosti ČD Cargo, a.s. a vytvořit návrh finanční strategie pro tuto společnost. První část práce tvoří teoretický základ, následuje definování klíčových metod finanční analýzy a v poslední částí jsou tyto metody aplikovány na data společnosti ČD Cargo, a.s. Finanční analýza obsahuje strukturální a trendovou analýzu účetních výkazů, analýzu poměrových ukazatelů, rozklad ROE dle DuPontova rozkladu a výpočet ekonomické přidané hodnoty. V praktické části dochází následně k porovnání dosahovaných výsledků s výsledky konkurentů. Zpracování finanční analýzy odhalilo silné a slabé stránky společnosti a závěrem předkládám doporučení, které by měla společnost provést, aby odstranila své slabé stránky. |

| Abstract: | The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the economic development of ČD Cargo, a.s. and to develop a proposal for a financial strategy for this company. The first part of the thesis consists of the theoretical basis, followed by the definition of key methods of financial analysis and in the last part these methods are applied to the data of ČD Cargo, a.s. The financial analysis includes structural and trend analysis of financial statements, analysis of ratios, decomposition of ROE according to the DuPont decomposition and calculation of economic value added. The practical part compares the results with those of competitors. The completion of the financial analysis revealed the company's strengths and weaknesses and I conclude with recommendations that the company should implement to eliminate its weaknesses. |
