Analysis and Design of Business Intelligence Solutions for It Company Management

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis, design, and implementation of a business intelligence solution for an IT company. Unlike other similar theses, the focus of this work is not to create specific reports, but to create a strong technical basis for decision support in an IT company in a changing environment. The reader will learn about the function of BI in the enterprise and the different components of a BI solution, the activities and areas of IT enterprise management. After the analytical part, the reader is guided through defining the requirements for the target system, selecting the components of the target solution, and designing data models. Then, the process of implementing and testing a functional prototype of the proposed architectural solution is presented. This paper contributes a process of the analysis, design, and implementation of a BI solution that can be used as inspiration for the development of similar systems. At the same time, the resulting system can be adopted without major modifications to support the management of IT and other businesses. For the target solution I have chosen technologies that have potential in the long term, both in terms of integration of modern analytical tools and in terms of potential growth of the enterprise and data volume. When this solution is tailored to the specifics of a particular enterprise, and complemented with appropriate enterprise maintenance processes, it can become a strong foundation for the long-term development of an enterprise information system.
