| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou rezerv bank a jejich rolí v měnové politice České národní banky. První část práce je zaměřena na teorii, kde jsou rezervy bank definovány a podrobněji vysvětleny vzhledem k jejich hlavní kategorizace na povinné minimální rezervy a volné rezervy. Teoretická část se také zabývá úlohami obou typů rezerv v rámci měnové politiky a problematikou řízení likvidity bank. Druhá kapitola je věnována praktické analýze vývoje rezerv v českém bankovním systému v letech 2000–2023. Tato praktická část interpretuje a ilustruje teoretické poznatky z první kapitoly na skutečných datech a pojednává o důvodech a efektivitě řízení volných rezerv bank. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis explores bank reserves and their role in the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank. The first part of the thesis focuses on theory, where bank reserves are defined and explained in more detail with regard to their main categorization into required reserves and excess reserves. The theoretical part also addresses the roles of both types of reserves within monetary policy and the issue of bank liquidity management. The second chapter is dedicated to a practical analysis of the development of reserves in the Czech banking system from 2000 to 2023. This practical part interprets and illustrates the theoretical knowledge from the first chapter using actual data and discusses the reasons behind, and the effectiveness of, managing excess bank reserves. |
