Diplomová práce pojednává o imigrační politice USA za prezidentů Trumpa a Bidena s využitím konceptu crimmigration. Cílem této práce je komplexní porovnání rozdílů v imigrační politice během prezidentského mandátu obou zmíněných amerických prezidentů, přičemž veliká část práce se zabývá analýzou role prezidentů Trumpa a Bidena v procesu sbližování kriminálního a imigračního práva. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř hlavních kapitol, přičemž první část je věnována teoreticko-metodologickým východiskům, kde je věnována pozornost odborným pojmům imigrace, crimmigration a také je v této části práce zahrnuta dichotomie univerzalismus vs. partikularismus. Druhá kapitola je podrobněji zaměřena již na cíle Trumpovy imigrační politiky, naopak následující část obsahuje komplexní analýzu Bidenovy imigrační politiky. Poslední část práce představuje shrnutí výzkumných výsledků zjištěných z provedené komparativní analýzy, přičemž se jedná o hodnotící část práce, kde jsou prezentovány klíčové závěry z mnou provedeného výzkumu. Na samotný závěr napomohla daná analýza k zodpovězení výzkumné otázky: Jak se lišily cíle obou prezidentů v rámci crimmigration a byla jejich imigrační politika účinná v jejich dosažení? |

| Abstract: |
The diploma thesis discusses the US immigration policy under Presidents Trump and Biden using the concept of crimmigration. The aim of this work is a comprehensive comparison of the differences in immigration policy during the presidential mandate of the two mentioned American presidents, while a large part of the work deals with the analysis of the role of Presidents Trump and Biden in the process of convergence of criminal and immigration law. The work is divided into four main chapters, while the first part is devoted to theoretical and methodological starting points, where attention is paid to the terminology of immigration, crimmigration, and the dichotomy universalism vs. particularism. The second chapter is already focused in more detail on the goals of Trump's immigration policy, on the other hand, the following part contains a comprehensive analysis of Biden's immigration policy. The last part of the work presents a summary of the research results obtained from the comparative analysis, while it is the evaluation part of the work, where the key conclusions from my research are presented. At the very conclusion, the given analysis helped to answer the research question: How did the goals of the two presidents differ in terms of immigration and was their immigration policy effective in achieving them? |
