Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá dopad těžby kobaltu v Demokratické republice Kongo na evropský trh s elektromobily. Kobalt je klíčovou součástí baterií pro elektromobily, což zvyšuje jeho strategický význam. Cílem této práce je analyzovat ekonomické, sociální a environmentální dopady těžby kobaltu v Demokratické republice Kongo a jejich vliv na stabilitu a konkurenceschopnost evropského automobilového průmyslu. První kapitola se zaměřuje na význam kobaltu, jeho vlastnosti, hlavní výrobce a zpracování. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na elektromobilitu v Evropě, zkoumá její historický vývoj, hlavní hráče na trhu a vývoj poptávky po kobaltu. Třetí kapitola se zabývá strategickými iniciativami Evropské unie pro udržitelnost a transparentnost v dodavatelském řetězci baterií a zkoumá možné alternativní technologie a diverzifikaci zdrojů kobaltu. Metodika zahrnuje rešerši literatury a analýzu údajů o těžbě a využití kobaltu. Na závěr jsou navržena doporučení ke zmírnění rizik a podpoře rozvoje evropského trhu s elektromobily. |

| Abstract: |
This bachelor thesis examines the impact of cobalt mining in the Democratic republic of Congo on the European electric vehicle market. Cobalt is a key battery component for electric vehicle, which increases its strategic importance. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the economic, social and environmental impacts of cobalt mining in the Democratic republic of Congo and their impact on the stability and competitiveness of the European automotive industry. The first chapter focuses on the importance of cobalt, its properties, main producers and processing. The second chapter focuses on electromobility in Europe, examining its historical development, the main players in the market and the evolution of cobalt demand. The third chapter looks at the European Union's strategic initiatives for sustainability and transparency in the battery supply chain and explores possible alternative technologies and diversification of cobalt sources. The methodology includes a literature search and data analysis on cobalt mining and use. Finally, recommendations are proposed to mitigate risks and support the development of the European EV market. |
