Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením výkonnosti specifického čtyřhvězdičkového hotelu v Praze s důrazem na období před a po pandemii covid-19. Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat výkonnost a konkurenceschopnost konkrétního hotelu v Praze ve střednědobém časovém horizontu, konkrétně v období od roku 2015 do roku 2023. Práce představuje teoretické koncepty týkající se hodnocení výkonnosti hotelu, vlivu pandemie covid-19 na turismus a na hotelový průmysl. Dále popisuje roli lokality jako kritického faktoru pro úspěch v hotelnictví. Výzkum se zabývá analýzou výkonnostních ukazatelů konkrétního hotelu v Praze a následným porovnáním kriteriálních ukazatelů s vybranými hotelovými trhy. Tato metoda byla doplněna polostrukturovaným rozhovorem s manažerem zkoumaného hotelu. Práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení výkonnosti hotelu v kontextu pandemie a identifikaci změn ve výkonnosti po pandemii ve srovnání s obdobím před ní. Analýza ve formě případové studie poskytuje komplexní pohled na výkonnost zkoumaného hotelu, která byla ovlivněna pandemií covid-19. Také přispívá k lepšímu porozumění dynamiky hotelového trhu v České republice a hotelového odvětví v kontextu současných globálních a místních výzev. |

| Abstract: |
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the performance evaluation of a specific four-star hotel in Prague, emphasizing the period before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the performance and competitiveness of a particular hotel in Prague over a medium-term time horizon, specifically from 2015 to 2023. The work presents theoretical concepts regarding hotel performance evaluation, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on tourism and the hotel industry, and the role of location as a critical factor for success in hospitality. The research involves analyzing the performance indicators of the specific hotel in Prague and subsequently comparing these indicators with selected hotel markets. This method was supplemented by a semi-structured interview with the manager of the hotel under study. The thesis focuses on evaluating hotel performance in the context of the pandemic and identifying changes in performance after the pandemic compared to the period before it. This case study analysis provides a comprehensive view of the performance of the studied hotel, which was influenced by the covid-19 pandemic. Also it contributes to a better understanding of the dynamics of the hotel market in the Czech Republic and a general understanding of the hotel industry in the context of current global and local challenges. |
