Diplomová práce se zabývá dopady politiky genderové rovnosti na průběh a výsledky peacekeepingové mise OSN v Libérii (UNMIL). Zaměřuje se na důvody vzniku mise UNMIL, hodnotí úspěšnost integrace genderové rovnosti a analyzuje vliv mise na postavení žen v liberijské společnosti. Identifikuje hlavní výzvy, kterým mise čelila, a vyvozuje ponaučení pro budoucí peacekeepingové operace OSN z hlediska integrace genderové perspektivy a podpory rovnosti pohlaví. Výzkum je založen na kvalitativní analýze dat týkajících se genderové politiky mise UNMIL, jednotlivých rezolucí Rady bezpečnosti OSN k misi a genderových iniciativ mise UNMIL v Libérii. Výsledky práce poskytují hluboký vhled do činnosti mise UNMIL s cílem identifikovat vliv genderové politiky na průběh peacekeepingové mise UNMIL a na postavení a práva liberijských žen. |

| Abstract: |
This thesis examines the impact of gender equality policies on the progress and outcomes of the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL). It focuses on the reasons for the establishment of UNMIL, assesses the success of gender mainstreaming and analyses the impact of the mission on the status of women in Liberian society. Furthermore, it identifies the main challenges faced by the mission and draws lessons for future UN peacekeeping operations in terms of integrating a gender perspective and promoting gender equality. The research is based on a qualitative analysis of data related to UNMIL's gender policy, individual UN Security Council resolutions on the mission, and UNMIL's gender initiatives in Liberia. The results of the thesis provide in-depth insights into UNMIL's activities, with the aim to identify the impact of gender politics on the conduct of UNMIL's peacekeeping mission and on the status and rights of Liberian women. |
